Inspired by an earlier post by Nalakrats. I came across an article discussing cancer cells and how they go through active and dormant phases. It's a quick and easy read but can shed some light for this disease. In addition, within the article is a link to some new information that has been coming out about anti-inflammatories and their preventative role in possible recurrence / metastasis after therapy (which I had actually also come across in a few articles in other publications about a week back). I am also putting the link here as well.
That first article reveals to me that this cancer is diabolical. I am undetectable for a year now after treatment but I've seen too many accounts of this disease reappearing 5 or 10 years down the road. That is why I will remain in this group -- to track treatment advances that might be of benefit to me ... maybe sooner than I'd like.
I received my results from my CT Scan last week and the cancer is undetectable. my psa has been .1 twice in a row so the uroligist said he didn't want to see me till next year and my Oncologist said I just need to be tested every 3 months with a psa. I feel everything I have done has worked but in the back of my mind I also feel I have to keep the cancer from coming back ,that is why I get tested every 3 months. I did mention that I changed my diet when I was doing radiation but the doc said not to worry about what I eat. it just blows me away why would a doctor say such a thing. we all know sugar is one of the worst foods and cancer feeds on sugar. I don't eat donuts and foods that are basically all sugar, I have also taken cannabis oil and B17 since I was first diagnosed in March 2017, I will keep taking them plus I take 81mg of aspirin a day both for the cancer and for cholesterol in the blood. the only main problem I am dealing with is being so weak from the Lupron shot but hopefully that will diminish soon and I can build my muscles back to normal again by slowly exercising, like Yoga. I will always be on HealthUnlocked because all the postings about new protocols are important to me because I can only say I am in remission but I want to keep it that way. thank you VisualDeadlock for sharing the articles.
