A Plea from Your Brother
My prostate cancer diagnosis introduced me to Malecare - with the commanding encouragement of my urologist. My experiences validated the organization's remarkable efforts in supporting men like me. I'm sharing this narrative to underscore the invaluable work of Malecare and to encourage your support.
My Encounter with Prostate Cancer:
The diagnosis of prostate cancer scared me. I'm a journalist who writes about international business and markets, but now, I find myself lost in medical jargon and emotional upheaval. During the first few weeks after an MRI and biopsy confirmed what I feared, most of what I heard sounded like spoken English, but for me, it required more than Google Translate could offer.
Amidst this cacophony, Malecare emerged as a source of stability and compassion. Their support group is a platform for emotional healing and mutual understanding.
Mostly, I felt connected to guys who looked at me like a mirror of their recent past.

It's exciting and depressing to hear men share similar laments, with little difference caused by geography.
