I have been pursuing a high pH because it's theorized that: "Virtually everyone with cancer has low pH levels. This is because cancer is created, and thrives, in a body that has low pH levels, a body that is acidic. Low pH causes your body to store more toxins in cells, and reduces oxygen levels, both of which are fundamental to the development of cancer. When cancer cells grow, they produce even more acid. Making it very difficult to raise pH levels, especially when cancer is present." I am getting my information from Truth About Cancer and other sources from the nutrition-based healing community.
I am pleased to report that my test strips suggest that I am operating with a pH of 7.5 to 8.
Meanwhile the American Institute for Cancer Research contradicts this notion and says: "What you eat can have a profound affect on your cancer risk, but the acidity or alkalinity of foods is not important. Instead, focus on making dietary choices that can truly affect your risk: Eat a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans; Limit consumption of red and processed meats; Enjoy alcohol in moderation, if at all."
What do you all believe?
I guess, either way you cannot go wrong because to achieve a higher pH, you need to consume all sorts of plant based foods and dispense with the junk.
