Recovery time after gamma knife surgery

I have just HD gamma knife surgery which was much easier than I thought. The wounds have healed already .My boss has been great and is happy for me to havec2 weeks paid sick but will I need 2 weeks? I currently am extremely tired and have a dull headache but not sure how long this will last. I'm a bit anxious about returning to work as I am on my feet all day and up and down stairs. What is everyone's experience shortly after gamma knife surgery?

Hi LindaI was supposed to have gamma knife but then they changed it to deliver the same amount of radiotherapy over a 6 week period instead so I can't entirely compare with your situation but I was provided with a list of after effects from immediate, 4 weeks, 6 months etc which I would think would be the same for you so I wouldn't think you would be recovered after such a short time.

I felt pressured to go back to work a couple of weeks after my treatment ended and I don't think it did me any favours. If you feel tired then it's your body telling you to rest and repair itself. If your boss had the same news and treatment would they be rushing back after 2 weeks? Take all the time that you need is my advice, your health is more important than anything else X

Thanks ...when I had my treatment they said usually you are okbto go back after a few days. I don't feel too bad just tired and a bit light headed .I'm definitely not going back next week
