Acoustic neuroma - two months post surgery difficulty in speaking and fumbling with words

Hi there... I underwent an acoustic neuroma surgery two months ago. Recovery is going good. I have headaches, imbalance, easy fatigue and diplopia at times. But one thing which has been bothering me constantly is difficulty in framing my sentences and memory issues. I get stuck half way and search for words to finish the sentence. Is this happening just with me or does it normally happen. My tumor was 2.6 *1.9*2.4cms and was removed by retrosigmoid approach. Can someone please share with me if they have similar experience. Thank you

I too had an AN and Gamma knife surgery with the same repercussions; it all is a function of your balance and your balance is essentially controlled by your cerebellum. When your AN destroys one inner ear your cerebellum gets useful information from your good ear, but gets bogus information from your compromised inner ear. This makes your cerebellum work overtime trying to control your balance, causing pain in the back of the brain and “static” throughout the brain. But if you can “reset” your cerebellum and at the same time retrain your feet to walk more solidly you can regain most of your balance and at the same time remove the “static” in your brain, which is causing memory loss and confusion.

I developed exercises in 2002 to reset my cerebellum by working each semi-circular canal separately. If you want to use these exercises to improve your balance click on the following link for instructions and a video:
