im not sure really hurting yourself can sometimes be a relief as ive found out i used to cut my feet with some scissors and it felt better and i forgot things for a while it snot easy when your depressed knowing what to do but dont put your self down although if you have no control maybe you need to talk to someone look after yourself

You aren't crazy.

Definitely not crazy - I've known a few folks who engage in this behaviour over the years and they're some of the nicer, saner folks I know. But it's definitely not good for you - it's a short term 'feel better' fix for other longer-term underlying problems, and if you keep at it you should really seek help.

If you do find yourself cutting or damaging yourself in ways that causes wounds, then watch for infections, if nothing else.

I got minor cuts and scars due to me hurting myself I also hide it as well Then I try to hide it when people notice it I tend to say it was an accident. If not I don't say anything I just don't know where to start in telling friends or family members about me in hurting myself. Will they think I'm doing it to gain attention or think I'm silly or CRAZY that's the kind of things go trough my mind

But thank you in replying

Worth talking to GP,,, as family and friends are emotionally involved. A Counsellor could help too.
