Can anyone please explain what to expect with Community mental health team and Community psychiatric nurse first visit?

Hi, I know that the first CPN visits is like a chat and about 1 hour but I really need to know any more details.

Also if anyone has any experience with CMHT or CPN please let me know, I'm really stressed about it.

You can expect an intake assessment if you haven't had one. You will be asked about your mental health symptoms, substance use history, physical health, family history, legal history, etc. Then the team will likely work with you to develop a treatment plan, usually consisting of individual/group therapy, psychoeducation, peer support, medication, case management, etc. You always have choices. Ask all the questions you want to. It's their job to help. Hope it goes well.

They will discuss your needs and expectations, they will discuss with you a treatment pathway, and work with you in getting better.
