Cant cope no more

hi first time doing this but i have been struggle wiv clinical depression since the age of 15 and now its completely takin over my life cant get out of bed anymore i do t knw what to do i need my life back but i m stuggling to do it im only 20 yrs i need HELP

Hi 447213. This is also my first ever post. I too am suffering with depression and yesterday I had my first ever session with a therapist. To hear you've been struggling for a long time is a really sad thought, but the best thing is to realise there are professionals to help you. People spend their whole lives dedicated to make people like you and me back to normal. There is hope, and there is life beyond depression, deep deep down you know that. I spent a long time in bed when I didn't have the energy to get out. The best thing I did, was give myself small challenges to do around the house. The first was to empty the crumbs from the toaster. Then I was allowed back to bed. The second was to empty the dishwasher tablets into the tin. Then back to bed. Gradually I got closer and closer to the front door and I took my bins out. Just slow slow steps make things more manageable. I hope this post helps even if it's just a tiny bit. You are loved x

I too suffer from clinical depression for about 18 years.its held me back big time.i find long walks help me a bit.
