Transexamic acid and pins n needles. Is this normal, please can you share. I have been diagnosed with fibroids and have been taking transexamic acid for the second time in the last 2 months. I have had progerestrrone ciol fitted in April and bleeding again. I can't take ferrous sulphates as I developed stomach ulcer. I'm worried about becoming Aneamic again but I have pins and needles since last night in my left leg. No swellings, can anyone please tell me if this normal? In scared of going and e right now. Would appreciate any advice, experience of others

If you're in the UK you can call 111 for advice

There is a specific fibroid group on this site, if you think this issue is related to your fibroids. You might get some help there.

Thanks. I think it might be sciatica coz i also went for a long walk the day before and felt a strange pain in my backside area. So I didn't ring 111. It seems better today. I think it's awful not being able to be as active so im going to try another walk today but thanks for replying. I found this site through the NHS website and it is good to hear from other people with similar experiences.

I think it is the fibroid pushing down on the sciatic nerve, im not medically trained so I will check in with my GP

Just realised the got confused between fibroids and fibromyalgia, sorry! Can your doctor arrange a scan for you to see where the fibroids are?

I would check to see if your coil has moved. I had to have the strings trimmed on mine because it attacked my husband. As I said on the thyroid thread the mirena did not suit me and I became miserable spotty, fat and as well as losing hair I grew a moustache at 47 which I had to have waxed. These symptoms disappeared when I had the mirena removed. The mirena does not suit all women and I was one of them.
