Possible pregnancy

Hi there,

My last period started 12 July and I had unprotected sex 11 Aug, Im now 42 days into my cycle and no period. I did take a strip pregnancy test yesterday but only one line appeared. Is it possible Im pregnant? How long would it take for the hormone to be detected and when?

Most tests on average will show real results 2/3 weeks after you had sex. Your body can just decide it doesn’t want a period, I have had this before and I was very worried about it. But it is always better to be safe, take a test, see a doctor and get tested for STIs also. And i’d suggest using protection next time unless your ready to have a child, again your doctor can advise you on the types so you can make choices that are right for you.
