I went to the doctor was diagnosed with PCOS. I used to have the problem that i rarely had a period, now it wont go away.

The doctor did some mini biopsy in his lab and everything is normal, he doesnt see anything that could be causing the daily bleeding. sometimes the bleeding is so bad im running to the bathroom every 30 minutes. the flow varies and sometimes i just spot for the day, but then i will have a heavier flow for a few days.

he suggested the pill, but i want to know if there is anything natural i can try? i dont want to be dependent on a pill. i think at that point id rather just get surgery.

my period started going haywire after the loss of my mother two years ago. i am 34 years old now and it hasnt changed. i also was pre diabetic. i lost 50 lbs and now my blood sugar is stable. please help!

I've looked around I didn't see any posts of having an endless period.

🙂 You could wait a while before anybody replies here, it’s always worth searching previous posts on a subject to see if anything is useful. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this problem, I have a cyst myself, and adhesions. The pain from adhesions has always been challenging for me, but my only excessive blood loss was during the menopause, I started in my 40s and finished at 54.

Thank you for your kind response. I will keep looking. This isn't something I expected to go through in my 30s ☹

Have you been referred to a gynaecologist? And when was the last time you had a smear test?

The first thing the doctor needs to rule out is cancer. Only then should you try alternatives.

PCOS is an autoimmune condition and can be helped with diet - it's worth reading into the autoimmune protocol, and I would take probiotics alongside it if this is something you wish to try out. It's a short term diet, not a lifestyle, and us used to identify whether any foods are triggering your illness.

Thank you. I will look into that. Yes I went to a gynocologist. He did a pap smear. And then a cervical biopsy. He did one in his office he said the test isn't 100 accurate but will let him know if anything was wrong. Nothing was found. He didn't see anything causing my issues. Just offered me pills in the hopes it would fix me.

If the doctors are confident nothing is wrong, then I would consider seeing a nutritional therapist, as someone who will look at the whole picture. I know it might sound a bit out there, but I was regularly suffering from irregular periods and spotting between, which has all subsided with the help of a nutritional therapist, so I do think they could help you here.

Use this website to find someone registered though: the title isn't protected, so anyone with a 2 hour internet qualification can technically call themselves a nutritionist. This register only accepts people with a university degree in the subject: bant.org.uk/bant/jsp/practi...
