Ovulation two periods concveing

Hi would love it if I could get some advice of people and help me out a little, I’m basically having a period every 36 days witch is normal for me but soon as my period ends I’m having another one about 10 days later, a real period just as heavy as my first period, I’ve had scans and checks internal and everything seems fine I can’t have a smear I’m not due yet I’m only 24 I can have one in the summer, also me and my partner have been trying a baby and now I’m just wondering will this stop me conceiving or change my ovulation date so my period was 23rd dec so I should ovulate around about 14th jan ish but because I’m having another period will that knock it off or will it just stop the same and me will ovulate ?? Sorry for long long essay just would love people’s feed back x

While it is possible to get pregnant on your period, it is much less likely. Since you are cycling so close together you need to determine if you are ovulating at all, infrequently or regularly. You should look into an ovulation predictor kit. It will let you know the best days to conceive. What does your doctor say about your frequent periods re: trying to get pregnant?

I’ve had tests done and scans the basic stuff but she hasn’t really gave me a answer if I’m honest and as for the fertility front she said I would need to be referred to fertility place or whatever to check that out she told me to come back once I’m ready, I haven’t been on any contraception since been with my partner aswell there’s loads of red flags it stopped a couple of cycle the extra period if you will but it’s back so now I’m meant to ovulate so they say coming up but now I just don’t know! Il get some to try it’s vey frustrating x

I understand your frustration. Look on amazon or google for an ovulation kit. My guess is you are not ovulating nearly as often as you think you are. Or it could ovulating when you think you’re not. Bottom line is you won’t know until you track a few cycles. A fertility specialist would probably put you on meds to regulate your cycles and then “force” ovulation.

Hi Abbie 24 I think you need to inform your doctor tell him about your periods and that you would like to try for a baby. Don't leave it too late. I ended up having a baby at 42. So please go to your doctors. I did not have the same problem as you though. Good luck

Hi Abbey 24, I do understand where you are coming from. When I was 35 I had 2 miscarriages, I was referred to gynaecology, I after tests they found in has a mild case of endometriosis in which I had an operation but they could only remove half of it. Then I was referred for infertility treatment, we had 4 rounds of treatment before I got pregnant with twins but lost one early in the pregnancy but now have a lovely daughter. I also have an under active thyroid. What l am trying to say infertility can take time, so try not to waste any off yours. Good luck it will happen when you leased expect it too.
