Hymenectomy?

I won't go much into my history here, it's too long a story! However, I wondered if anyone here has had a hymenectomy and who you saw to confirm it was a necessary procedure?

I had it done in my early teens, I presume my GP just referred me to a surgeon, sorry thats not much help.

I believe you need to see a Gynacologist I haven't gotten one but it's done if your hymen didn't properly unfuse during pregnancy.
