I am 63 years of age, I previously had a merino coil which was removed 3yrs ago and at the same time I was referred to gynaecology to have a polyp removed. I am taking a combined HRT and have done for last 2/3 yrs. I had a smear test last year all ok. I have not had a period for the last 15 yrs and now I have been bleeding for the last 5days, not heavily and it is bright red in colour. This really concerns me, should I be worried? I have made an appointment for another smear test. Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! Most likely your gyne will also do an endometrial biopsy to check the uterus. I have had this done for bleeding. It is uncomfortable, but just takes a second.
