Which scales are best?

I am looking for some new scales to weigh myself on and looking for recommendations as mine are not working as they should. I bought them about 3-4 years ago as I had a Fitbit at the time and they were Fitbit scales.

However a few months ago I noticed that my weight would fluctuate a few times a week by a few pounds. The last few weeks I have to weigh myself 3-4 times to get an accurate weight but now I just get weights that can differ by anything from 7-14lbs, which is not ideal.

Having looked on the Fitbit website it seems this is a common problem, I have tried new batteries and resetting the scales, but the issue keeps happening.

Ideally I would like some that I can link to my Samsung watch and that does a bit more than just weight like body fat etc, but the most important thing is accuracy.

What do other people on here use and would you recommend them? Thank you.

I hope someone can make suggestions, Loraine. I'm no use as I only use basic scales

These are the scales I've been using for the past 6 years, Loraine and never had any trouble with them. WW Ultimate Accuracy Easy Read Digital Bathroom Scales. I would have posted a link for them, but can't find any that aren't advertising, but do your research, because I've found prices between £18 and £30 for the very same set!

Honestly I believe the more technical they get, the more things that can go wrong.

Thanks moreless, I will have a look, your probably right about them going wrong the more technical they are. 😊

I got mine off Wowcher Caroline. They have Bluetooth so are linked to an app on my phone which also gives me body fat, muscle, water etc. Haven't had any problems and they're about a year old. £15.99 xx

Hello Loraine518, I have a pair of digital scales that I got from Boots the Chemist. They are weight watchers scales, not that that makes any difference but they can weigh you in stones & pounds or in KG’s just by a little switch on the reverse. Have had them a few years now and have just had to change the battery for the digital reading. All the best finding your new scales. 😊

Thank you Biomet, a friend also mentioned mentioned weight watchers scales as being good so I think I might go for them. I reset my scales using a different method recommended on the fitbit website and they seem to be better at he moment, but I will still probably get some new ones as I don't really trust mine.

I've got fitbit ones and had no problems but do insist on putting them in the same place when I use them. They do take a minute sometimes to recalibrate after you first step on. So I never take the first measure if a 'C' pops up. My old ones were just argos digital but had waaay too much variation.

I've never been really happy with mine even when I had a fitbit as they would work ok for a while and then they often showed variations, then seemed to work ok again. They seem way to sensitive, my dogs often move them slightly and sometimes they can be off for several days. Yesterday they were fairly stable but today according to the reading I have put on between just under 1 lb to 2 and a half lbs. I really can't be bothered to keep calibrating them every few days.
