Hi Jenbaksh and welcome to this amazing forum. I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads. If you’re using another device I strongly suggest that you use the web page as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around.

Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

Here’s the link to the pinned posts,

Here’s the link for the “Tour” of the forum. If you haven’t already taken it.

Personally I have never used shakes and probably never will. I just eat healthy food cooked from scratch. I'm assuming there are instructions on the packet of the shakes or whoever prescribed them should be able to help.

I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a Weekly Weigh in.

You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.

Good luck I hope to "see " you around.

Hi, like Tabby, I don't use shakes, just whole food, home cooked from fresh ingredients.

I see from your profile that you are pre-diabetic and have fatty liver disease. These are both aspects of the Metabolic Syndrome and I would suggest learning more about that and devising your meal plan accordingly. I'll give you a couple of links with lots more inside each link: there is overlap between the two.

Hi Jenbaksh . As BG says you don't need to use shakes. I don't know anything about fatty liver disease but I was prediabetic and it is definitely possible to reverse it by cutting out carbs especially bread, pasta, rice and potatoes and fresh home cooked meals and healthy fats. You might like to look at Michael Moseley's books 8 week blood sugar diet and fast 800. There is lots of useful information and some lovely recipes. There are also recipe books to do with them.

I think I have read on here that LCHF is also good for fatty liver disease but certainly losing weight anx reducing the blood sugars will help. You might like to look at the dietdoctor website too.

Do read the links you have been given and if you questions about LCHF just ask. Good luck.
