Giving it another go after 2 years

Hello well I'm rejoining after a hard 2020. Lost some weight then gained a bit before stabilising in November. With no slimming classes open I struggled with motivation to continue. But I am now trying to reboot my weight loss using a plan that worked for me before lockdown the first time with the support I can find on this forum . It will be baby steps half a stone at a time . I'll be looking for some easy veggie recipes to add to my existing ones, wish my success.

Hello and welcome back, dish70 :)

2020 has been hard for all of us: let's hope for better in 2021.

I see that when you were last here you joined in a lot of conversations but not a weekly weigh in or the Daily Diary. I would recommend them as a good place to start, for the team support and the companionship that can help you on your way. We also have a daily chat thread, and plenty of other activities.

You'll find them all by following this link healthunlocked.com/weight-l... to Pinned Posts.

All the best

BG

I actually didn't benefit from any slimming clubs so that is why I tried this site after my operation mainly caused by gradual weight gain resulting in hiatus hernia surgery . I found my own eating for life plan . I didn't want slimming biscuits and shakes . I needed a plan for life and one that if I was invited out I could choose 2 decent courses from the menu then get on track . Nobody knew I was watching my weight . I tend to walk or dance off a few calories as I couldn't have the life I wanted on 1250 cals a day . I now have just under 1400 and feel better for it , watching portions , sauces and ensuring that veg dominates my plate . I allow for crisps or pea / lentil snacks if I want them after lunch and use a Dolce Gusto machine for the odd treat coffee . I knew I couldn't live on some of the 'slimming plans ' that is why they failed and I was back again . Try this site , try the free MFP app which will help with macros and has a barcode scanner . I save slimming group money for some group Zumba classes which cater for all ages and sizes . Most don't talk food . We just go mad to music at our own pace.

I used this site before and just cut down the forum was good for morale support especially on the bad days. Thus time I have slimming world eating plan its very good.

I saw a daily newspaper was promoting a well known slimming brand with free booklets which saved you spending on weekly sessions . I just get annoyed when my friends spent a lot of money buying their branded products but then give up as their products don't fill them up and some of the ingredients are questionable .
