Bacon wrapped cod with leek and cabbage spaghetti

Thanks to springersrule, TheTabbyCat and I'm sure there is someone else who had part of this last week as a meal which inspired me....

Cod fillet per person , 2rashers bacon per fillet, lemon slices...... wrap cod in bacon coat in pepper, put lemon slices on, wrap in tin foil and bake for 20minutes 200degrees Celsius. While dishing up, crispoff bacon in frying pan.

Leeks, sweetheart cabbage, dwarf beans, butter, garlic - shred veg into long thin strips, stir dry in garlic and butter until soft.

It was a winner with the boys who used some wholemeal bread to wipe the garlic butter from their plates.

Enjoy and thanks to those who inspired this meal.

Hi ScoutyPat,

as I mentioned in the daily diary, I'm not a great fish eater but this looks like someone I would enjoy. Seeing the picture has only confirmed what I first thought.

I've even mentioned it to Mrs Tank so I think this will be on our menu next week 😀

On a related note, is there a way of book marking posts to make them easier to find later ?

Glad to help. It looked better before I made a hash up of putting the baconcod on my plate and it partially unwrapping itself. I don't know if we can bookmark posts but TheTabbyCat , Hopalong1 or bikegrrrl may know

Yes, ScoutyPat you can save posts/recipes in "Topics" . You need to add a topic. I suggest "Lytham's larder. Have a look at "Topics and choose the one you prefer.

I will do. May swap lemon for tomato slices.

Hi I had the cod wrapped in bacon yesterday. It was lovely. I had tomato instead of lemon as didnt fancy lemon and bacon. Had it with sweetheart cabbage spaghetti which I love plus sprouts green beans and spinach cooked with garlic and butter. I cant ezt leeks. Thanks for the idea. Will do it again. X
