I'm thinking of leaving this group as I find each link opens up a whole page of confusing layout for me to navigate as a newbie πŸ˜’. Before I go is there a simple you tube tutorial to show how we are expected to use this to get the support we are hoping for please? I'm not used to this set up and I realise I am low skilled in computer tech so it is likely I'm in the minority πŸ˜‘

Are you using the website or the app? I find the website much better, to be honest.

There's no complex method to follow other than posting and chatting in the threads you find of interest to you. 😊

I'm afraid some people never get the hang of navigating this site, Artyh, but try these things before you leave.

1. Do NOT rely on email alerts to bring you to the forum. Turn off those alerts in settings.

2. Get rid of the HU app if you're using it.

3. Log onto the forum using your browser healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

4. Follow this link for a quick tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true

5. Practice, practice practice, using the posts we've written to help you. This is easier if you use a laptop, as you can open different tabs for each link:

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Follow ONE link at a time and don't move onto another until you really understand the first.

I'm afraid there's nothing more we can do to help and can only say that it's not as hard as you think, you just need to spend time getting used to it.

Hi Artyh, Your post rang a bell with me. I started with forum Feb 2019 and remember feeling overwhelmed. I just told myself I would try to learn one thing at a time and not beat myself up over all the other stuff. Your confidence will grow, I am certain. Hang in there :)

I'm with you Artyh. Almost two weeks and feel like I'm lost in a maze. Will get on the laptop and ignore the app I think for the next week before I give up. We will not be defeated. πŸ˜‰

The thing that confused me the most was that the forum Home Page and the HealthUnlocked Newsfeed page look very similar. 😩

If you follow our pictorial Guides ( Links above in moreless’s reply) it should help. Also the new video tour

And as others have said, just keep reading and replying, practice makes perfect 😊

Hello Artyh, hope you're still with us!

You have some computer skills - because you've joined and posted a comment - so I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. I'm a newbie too, and haven't really found my way around yet but I think the tips from moreless might help.

I blunder about about a bit, and chip in to conversations (like this one) now and again.

From what I've seen, the members here are very supportive, so don't give up yet.

The more blundering and chipping in the better :D That's what makes the wheels go round here. Plus joining a weigh in for the fabulous team support, and using the Daily Diary to help with meal planning and generally having a friendly catch up each day.

Have a good week :)

I personally just concentrate on the weigh in posts myself. I save those email I get click on the link in one of them hit the home button top left (looks like a house) and then scroll to find the weigh in post and if I have time explore other like just today the daily diary. Good luck πŸ€πŸ™‚

When I first started a year or so ago I was always getting myself in a pickle. The admin team helped me, telling me when I posted on the wrong site. All you can do is keep trying, this is a very helpful site for lots of things. Have patience it will be worth it.
