Back to the Diet!

I'm afraid with family issues, the lockdown etc., I've let both my exercise and diet regime fly out the window for several months ... the outcome is visible when I look in the mirror! BUT ... I'm going back to my strict regimen from Mon 1st June - wish me luck!

Hello and welcome back to the forum, Dambo :)

My tip would be to avoid a strict regimen. Choose a plan that you can sustain. If we lose weight in a way that isn't sustainable, then the weight loss won't be sustainable, either.

The forum is a great place for information and support. You'll find everything you need in our Pinned Posts by following this link healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... A good starting point is joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice (why not today?) and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.

Active participation can give a great boost to your own efforts so I hope we'll see you joining in with forum activities :)

Thanks for the kind words and advice - much appreciated! I have a sort of fairly well established routine that I has been sticking to for a number of years and I'm hoping to ease myself back into it from Monday. I'll keep posting regarding how I'm getting one and let others know exactly what I'm doing - I'll also keep a check on my weight but my weighing was always on Saturday morning when I wake up and I'll be sticking to that for now since it's part of my 'old routine'! :-)

You're welcome :)

The Saturday weigh in team are a great bunch; they will make you very welcome so remember to join in with them next week.

You'll generally get most response and chat by joining in with existing posts like the Diary and our general chat, Nutty Natterings - so take your time exploring those Pinned Posts.

Hi Dambo and welcome. I suggest you spend some time following all the links you've been sent so that you can find your way around. As already suggested active participation is the key. Why don't you have a look at today's Daily Diary, it's where we chat, compare meals and try to keep to some sort of a plan! Here's the link for today,

Good luck Dambo. I think most of the country is in the same boat, so we can paddle faster together.

Okay, not sure if this is where I'm supposed to post this but ... Day 1 now over... Went for a brisk 3-mile walk in the sun before lunch and managed to keep my calorie intake to 1650 for the day! Pleased with the start but now embarking on Day 2 ....

Well done.

If you want to see what other people are doing, you can share it in the diary. You can find the daily diary each day by going to pinned posts, but here is the link for today's one
