Hi, I’m a newbie so wonder if anyone can help me work out how many calories I should consume to lose approx 2lb a week please?
I have been on on the NHS BMI calculator and I have a BMI of 24.6 which is borderline healthy. I weigh 10st 8lbs and am 5ft 4in.
I absolutely hate exercising but I do walk and approx 8,000 steps a day.

With regards to calculating your daily calories, there is a formula you can use, I shall have a look and get back to you.
Well done for the walking, that’s a decent amount of steps. For weight loss, exercise isn’t essential, although it does have many other benefits.

Ps if you google how to calculate BMR it will suggest a formula. Or use the generic 1400 and see how you go 😊
