I do not suffer from hypothyroid so unfortunately I can’t offer any specific tips with regard to that but I can tell you what is working for me so far:

1. Find out your personal calorie allowance using the NHS BMI calculator nhs.uk/Tools/Pages/Healthyw... (your personal calorie range is displayed on the same page as your BMI score. Start at the top end of this range.

2. Log the calories for everything you eat and drink (write it down or use a free app like MyFitnessPal)

3. Cut down on processed foods, refined carbs (swap to whole grain and weigh portions) and sugar

4. Don’t bother with anything low fat it’s usually full of sugar or doesn’t really fill you up. So have full fat Greek yoghurt, full fat milk, olive oil, avocados etc

5. Meal plan and check out the daily diary on here for yummy and delicious ideas

6. Move more, you don’t need to necessarily exercise to lose weight but whenever your bored try doing something rather than reaching for something to eat.

7. Join a weigh in group on here and just generally stay on this forum, read, like, post or reply to others whenever you feel like you need some support, it really does help 😊👍🍀
