Huge accidental weight loss

I had a bad Christmas I was unwell, but it was at my own hands. I have a problem with Beef, it used to be that minced beef would go through me like there was no tomorrow, then I found out the hard way it was any beef product that was having the same effect so I do tend to avoid beef like the plague.

A friend who was coming here for Xmas lunch offered me a nice jar of beef dripping/fat to cook the roast potatoes and roast parsnips in, I never gave it another thought and accepted it and cooked both veg in the said beef fat, it was about 2 hours after dinner that I started to notice problems, those problems lasted best part of five days and nights.

I did nearly floor my weight watchers leader, all she could say was "no way" I even forgot to take my phone out of my pocket, my weight loss for Christmas week - a massive 12 lbs , not a way I would normally recommended to loose weight but as another friend put it "every cloud has a silver lining"

So that's 75.5 lbs gone so far

Poor you hope you stay well now.

Ooo it's amazing that when we have an allergy like that, that we forget about those additional products that contain them - Hope you are feeling better now :)

Well done on your total weight loss - I hope that now going back to eating healthily minus beef products you don't put some of that weight back on :)

Wishing you a great 2018 :)

I'll not be putting it on I'm about half way to my target, anyway wouldn't it be shame to waste all that hard work.

i was meaning that after being ill you may put a 1lb or 2 back on by eating properly again after being ill :)

Wishing you all the best and well done on being half way to your target :)

Yes I realised that but those 12 lbs represent a lot of blood sweat and tears so to speak and after all that I went through I'm not going to be a happy bunny if I put any back on, we shall see I suspect

Happy New Year to you all.
