New year and my goals

Hey

My name is Helen, I have started my healthy eating plan this morning. I am 60 and have osteoarthritis in my knees which is why I desperately need to lose a lot of weight around 8 st. I work from home so need to plan an exercise routine out. I think starting to go for a gentle walk each day and building on that would be a good way to start. My goal is to get down to a weight I feel happy with and start a pilates class up for the over 50s and for people that are less mobile which I have trained for but never found the time to do.

Hi and welcome, Helen :)

You'll definitely feel the difference in your knees, as you lose the weight, I certainly did. Gradually building up the walking was exactly what I did too :)

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Wishing you all the best :)

Hello and welcome Shires 😊

Have a good look around, especially at the nhs bmi checker so that you eat the correct number of calories, and just ask if you have any questions 😊

Best wishes

Anna
