Good morning I'm new. just starting my weightloss journey to get my BMI into the healthy range now I am 60 and I want to reduce my risk of developing diabetes after watching a very scary tv programme about the complications.

Have you read the pinned posts for newbies it will be at the side of your screen or bottom depending on your device. It gives lots of helpful information and tips about the NHS 12 week plan, the Monday morning weigh in. There are lots of topics and challenges to motivate you along your way. I will work out my BMR although the basic 1400 calories seems good to me as I used them all yesterday! I think I might stick with it for now as it is a lot less than I would usually have and reduce later on in my journey.

Yes it's the side affects of diabetes that I find horrible time to take action to prevent it starting in the first place. Have a great day.
