Morning

As your weight varies throughout the day I prefer to get weighed first thing in a morning 😊 I weigh Friday and Monday but only log Monday on here. 😊 I also keep a note of monthly losses as I find that helpful, my losses vary throughout the month still despite being post menopausal 😕

Hi M7salltheway,

I just noticed your query regarding weighing in.  As IndigoBlue61  says, people vary in when they weigh, but many of us report our weights at the Monday group weigh-ins - but there are also some people who like to weigh and report individually at other days of the week.

I'm going to give you the link to the latest Monday group weigh-in session (which was Monday 2nd May 2016), so you can see how it works.  I always put a 'note for newbies' in the preamble to that.  Hope it is helpful.  You'd be very welcome to join us for the Monday group weigh-in sessions, if they appeal to you - or alternatively do your own thing on another day of the week - the great thing about this forum is that it is flexible and also encourages you to post what is most helpful for you personally.

We also have some useful posts in the Pinned posts area - a few Challenges going on there, and a collation of Recipes too, which are worth a look.

The Welcome Newbie post is really useful - it's in the Pinned Posts area too.

Anyway, I'm just dashing off now, but here's the link to the Monday group weigh-in session.  We've had more 'late weighers' this week due to the Bank Holiday, and I'm going to be doing the 'stats' at the end of this week, so if you fancied weighing in and sharing your weight in that thread, you could - or just wait till Monday 9th May and join then - whichever is better for you personally.

Have a great week.

Hi M7salltheway, weigh when it is convenient to you but it is best to do it at the same time each time you weigh. Some people weigh once a week on Monday morning, others like to weigh daily, and like Anna61 twice weekly, it's up to you.

Also picking up on something Anna said if you down load the "myfitnesspal" ap you can enter your food consumption & exercise for the day and also your weight on a progress chart which will keep you updated on your weight loss. It is really handy. Anything to help us on our weight loss journey is good.

All the best

Pam

Hi M7salltheway  You don't have to post your actual weight if you prefer not to at this stage. Just report whether you've stayed the same or confirm the amount you've lost or gained for that week. You'll probably find that as the weight comes off you'll be a bit more confident in stating your start weight at some point, just to emphasis not so much to us, but to you, just how well you're doing.  :-)
