Weight loss
Hi Sam
Have a look at the Welcome Newbies post under Pinned Posts, on the right hand side of the page, for a good introduction to the NHS plan. This is a very helpful site for anyone wanting to lose weight.
Good luck with your weight loss.
I lost weight following ortho surgery as I was heading down a slippery slope . . . My knees and joints are very grateful 😊 As the weight comes down movement becomes easier 😊 And it is vital to be in tip top condition for the anaesthetic. For sustained loss and long term benefit don't be tempted to restrict too much but find an eating plan that fits in with your family 😊 Good luck!
Hi Sam786 😀 you've definitely come to the right place to get help and support.
I joined the group a few weeks ago and have picked up lots of tips to make my Weight loss journey better. I've lost just over a stone in 10wks and feel fantastic!! You can too and will be having your knee op in no time 😀
I've got two little ones too and it's hard to think about yourself when your planning meals etc but a few tweaks and smaller portions helps.
My big down fall was eating kids left overs and eating sweets and chocs but know we all snack on fruit or healthier crisps etc. Start to read labels and you'll be surprised how much sugar, fat, salt is in things and will see that there is healthier (mostly tastier) options.
Good luck and follow the 12wk plan if you can it does offer lots of good advice to change your life for the better.
Keep us posted.
