How many hundreds, how many THOUSANDS of times has your fat self sat on the lounge, opened up the biscuits and turned on the TV, content and full and purring and drifting into a food coma.
And how many times has your thin self woken up, thought "ENOUGH!!!" and thrown on the joggers, made that healthy snack and written a diet plan for the week.
Sometimes it feels like all we ever do is knock ourselves down but thats not the point.
The point is we are ALL here because we refuse to stay down, because we will not let other people decide how we feel and we will not keep allowing advertising and marketing to tell us that we will feel so much better of we just cram that chocolate bar down our throat and don't worry about the fact that we just ate a whole days calories in one sitting!
The point is that no matter whether depression or tragedy or emotional eating sucks us in and we medicate ourselves with food eventually we stop, we steel our will and we start again.
The point is that we fight back over and over again, no matter how many times we get defeated we refuse to give in and we fight back because one day we WILL get to where we want to be.
We are fighters.
And we are amazing!
Have a great day all!

You're right Dave, we are all here because we keep trying, even when there's stretches of time where it doesn't feel like motivation is good. My hope for all of us is that we can find ways of coping with tough times without the food we don't need. ☀️
You always hit the nail on the head😃 I can feel and hear your restart button pressed and you sound ready for the next battle!! Well I'm tight there with you honeybun 😃
Thanks FLoss and yes I feel like the reset button has been hit and the bad trot I had with my meds is (hopefully) finally done. I am not be eating right all the time yet but I wake up ready to fight instead of groaning about another day
Thanks Dave. Positive mental attitude Can I suggest that we think about releasing weight rather than losing it? Losing suggests to our subconscious that its something we need to get back. I'm going to try a little ditty every time I walk somewhere, "I release my weight with every step I take." Can't do any harm and may just do some good
Amen to that. Our minds can be our own worst enemies at times and our best and most supportive friends at others. To dwell on what has gone and can never be changed is fruitless and damaging, tomorrow will always be tomorrow and again is fruitless to worry about. Right now, today, this minute - this is the battle to fight and win. How amazing we are as living beings, complex and simple at the same time. Revel in the fact we are unique, each and everyone of us - totally unique. Have a fab week Dave, in everyway. 😊
