Week 4 weigh in

Hi all

Had my week 4 weigh in this morning and another 1 lb off. I know it's not a lot, but I think slow and steady wins the race. So it's 8.5 lbs so far so really pleased. I've been trying to get his weight off for the last couple of years with no success, but feeling really motivated with all the wonderful support on here, thanks everyone and best wishes xxx

Well done on your loss! Dont see it as only 1lb, see it as 1lb closer to your goal :-)

1lb off is sooo much better than 1lb on so good for you and keep up the good work x

Slow but steady definitely wins the race! Well done on another loss!

Hi well done. I have lost a similar amount of weight in the last 4 weeks. I found counting calories is the best way for me to lose weight. I have tried slimming clubs in the past but always find I put on weight. What I get fed up with is being told what I should or should not eat. Keeping to a calorie control diet allows me to occasionally have what is considered a no go. I find the evenings are the worst time for me. I try to walk 10000 footsteps a day. I find going to the gym difficult as often you have to wait your turn for a piece of equipment. Keep going. I look at 1lb loss a week is 52 lbs a year and almost 4 stone. Best to do it slowly as they say more likely to keep it off.

Hi Matilda_1922

I too really struggle in the evenings! I am always hungry before bed, and can't sleep if I am hungry. Trying to keep to the healthy snacks though.

I have around another 19 pounds to go, so taking it easy and not starving myself. I've really found it much harder to loose the weight since I hit the menopause, which for me was at 43 owing to chemo for breast cancer. I am determined to get it off though, and the support on here is just the thing to keep me going. I too have tried diet clubs but don't really find them much help, all the people who have been going for years and still struggling, I found it quite depressing!

Onwards and upwards.

Hi Deborah I too have hit that time in my life. It is hard now to lose Wight. I found I had an underachievement thyroid gland in my mid 30s. It was at this time I put most of my weight on. I was also told by the consultant that I would always find it difficult to lose weight. So many hurdles but I am determined to get to my goal and stay there.
