Real natural honey is a whole food unlike man made sugar. Read my story and how you can get back to 'normal' by living on naturally grown whole and unprocessed foods. check out my book and website at warfarin wizard .com There is a growing number of people who have very successfully made this change in life. You and your husband can join them. The medical establishment are not interested in really 'curing' you because that does not pay their bills! - it's your voice in the end!

Honey is very good for you but try Agave Necter light and mild available on the gluten free section Teco or any good health shop I think other supermarkets sell it to it is low in cals and doesn't give sugar highs and lows can b used in hot drinks on oats and I love it only need 1 tsp only oats hope this helps x

Neither honey or sugar are bad in moderation. I teaspoon of honey a day on your cereal isn't going to contribute many calories to your diet or affect your weight loss. If you drink a lot of tea and sweeten that then maybe a sugar replacement may be needed instead. It all depends how much you are having - 'too much' is bad rather than the product itself :-)

Hi I managed to lose over 2.5 stones and had a tablespoon of honey over fruit and yoghurt every morning. Love it so much it's still my regular breakfast even after reaching my goal weight.

The sugar in honey is Fructose, something I think we are going to be hearing more and more bad things about over the next decade as one of the key causes of our modern obesity epidemic, however honey has lots of redeeming qualities such as containing antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. So in moderation, it could form part of a healthy diet.

Honey has the same effect as sugar, so use sparingly. Agarve Nectar is a very bad idea. It may not affect blood glucose, but it is mainly fructose so has to be processed in the liver. Too much can cause fatty liver disease and obesity.

It's still sugar and your body will deal with it the same as it does with any sugar, use it as fuel as it's no use for anything else, as a comparison it's like a kick in the slats against a kick in the head, neither will do you any good, no matter how many books you have to sell or how many vitamins (very few if any)

I have honey in the morning on my porridge instead if sugar - it is more natural so I think it is better for me.I still don't have much if it though.
