Starting to up my distances a bit now as my half marathon training has begun. 18 weeks until my half marathon in March. This will be my first all walking half marathon.

Oooh. That's fantastic RFC. I'll be really curious to follow your training. I'd have a hard time walking fast, I'm such a plodder, though I do love walking long distances. How long about would that take you?

Well my last run/walk time was 3hours and 8 mins. I have set myself the target of beating that and already I think I could match it so after 18 weeks training who knows 😀. Then I have another one booked 11 weeks after. Hehe glutton for punishment me😀. It is the May one that I will be pushing the time on I think.

November is a tough month for walking with the temperature dropping and the snow. I'm hoping I'll be able to get out for some nice dedicated walks on the weekends, and perhaps on a couple of my lunch-hours at work.

Hope you get out ok. How are you with ice, is your balance ok on it? I hate the rotten stuff. Have a good week. Rfc x.

Balance is better running than walking on ice. I have slip on grips for the worst days, but they don't hold up well on bare pavement.

Thank you. I'm new to this group but love walking. I walk everyday with my dog Oscar. I am very lucky to live in the Southwest near some lovely coastline. I go walking everyday on the beach or coastal walks.
