Sometimes, a walk, is just what I need.

This week is turning out to be a little stressful. I find that when my stress levels go up my sleep patterns go down.

I find that even if I don't feel like I have the energy, a good walk will help sort my brain out.

Yesterday was like that, so I got wrapped up and set out for a walk that ended up being 8km. By the time I came home my head was sorted a bit and my body was tired but in a good way.

I slept like a log last night so today feels so much more manageable.

Anybody else find that a walk is just the answer to so much!

Oops, I see how I made that look! It's my husband who goes for the walks. He works at home and goes on what he calls 'design walks' sometimes when he needs to think something through.

I do digital artwork on a hobby basis and ideas come through a lot easier on a walk so I understand that. I'm sure there is something about the Rythmn of a walk that helps the brain to be creative.

Sometimes a good fast walk can work off frustration/aggression and clear your head. Any walk is just a great way to put things into perspective. If I can't walk I get narky and pretty horrible. And in winter I get depressed.

I find I think well on a walk, puts things back in perspective. It all makes a bit more sense by the time I come home.

Often at work I get caught up working through lunch, keeping too busy and stressing out. The days that I take a 30 minute walk break are so head clearing, it's a wonder I don't do it more often.

I know what you mean, sometimes I know a walk is what I need more than anything but else, there are days when I could of kicked myself I didn't find time.

A walk is always good. I can't understand why, when I know this is true, I don't take my own advice more often! Glad you had a good one (and a good night's sleep)😴

Thank you. It's funny I sort out things on a walk and think new ways of doing things on a run. Different paces for different thought patterns.

My husband and I often have a short walk at lunch time. He has a stressful job, and finds that walking clears his head. I hope your weekend is better, Realfoodieclub !

Thank you. MrRfc Isn't too well at the moment, I really do miss our walks, it was the time we connected the most. Hopefully we will be back to it soon.

I'm a bit late to this party but: oh yes! I walk for three reasons - my joints, my weight and my head. And they all suffer if I stop!

Yes, I'm the same and the same reasons. It makes such a difference.
