Desogestrel 75mg ( 12hr window) pills

Hi all can someone tell me please I feel like I'm going out my mind..... does the desogestrel 75mg tablets stop periods or bleeding ..... my doctor prescribed me them till I get my date for the endometrial ablation and I've been bleeding heavy from the 5th Dec due to norethisterone failing to work .... I've recently came of norethisterone last Sunday to see what will happen and I'm still bleeding .... I've started theses tablets this Saturday gone but only noticing very minimal bleeding but it still going ..... its been 20 days now of bleeding I need to know if anyone can give experience how they were on these tablets please .......

As I don't wanna take more incase they still cause more bleeding .......

Do I take the whole pack without breaks also?

Hi, it took a couple of weeks of taking desogestrol before the bleeding stopped for me and I haven't had a period since and yes you don't have breaks with them as soon as you finish one pack you start on a new one the next day. Hope this has helped

I've been bleeding for 20 days prior to taking theses tablets due to norethisterone failing to work .... I've just started theses last Saturday but the bleeding just won't stop ....

It actually took my body about 9 months for it to finally settle into this drug. At first my periods were constant and unpredictable, my breasts were enlarged and painful, and I had constant period pain. I event went for a run and I was in such pain when I got back I threw up. I did some research and found others had experienced the same thing but had inspired me to stick with it. I’ve now been on it for 9 years and I don’t regret it. I have no periods at all and no associated symptoms of periods. Everyone is different though and if in doubt, speak to your GP.
