PCOS diagnosis

Hi, I am 24 years old and just been diagnosed with PCOS. I have had the symptoms for a while with excessive weight gain and hair growth. I decided to go the doctors as my mum has PCOS too and was told she may struggle having a baby but she ended up having me and my brother. The doctor has told me to just maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating well and exercising which I am going to continue to do. He also said when me and my partner are wanting kids for me to come off my pill try for 3-6 months and if there’s no luck then I can come back and get medication to help my eggs. It’s only just hit me now what I have and I haven’t stopped crying since I got home

Hi, I have PCOS and was diagnosed in June 2021 , I’m on metformin for 6 months to help me ovulate as my periods are so irregular like 78 days at one point without anything , if I don’t fall pregnant on metformin my gynaecologist said he would put me on clomid to see if that helps , I’m here if need talk about anything as I’m in the same boat as you x

I’m also on metformin been on it 1000mg been taking 5 months and still no period 🥲 recently started taking Chinese herbal medicine along with Acupuncture if this doesn’t help I’ll be going for 3rd ivf transfer in the hopes 3rd time lucky 🙈 many in the same boat. Just keep trying and don’t give up! X

I’m on 1500 Mg of metformin a day and sometimes the side effects are awful 😞 but I push through and keep taking them , fingers crossed for you hun x

I’ve Asked my endo should I up it but haven’t heard from them yet! Has your periods came back and have you ovulated? X

My periods have come back but not sure if ovulating as not getting pregnant x

How long have you been taking metformin? And do you know what your amh level is? Fingers crossed for you!! 10 years we’ve been ttc 😢 x

Been taking metformin since 25th august and had two periods on it and I don’t know my levels sorry hun I really hope things improve with you soon x

Was very irregular like 73 days each time x

Aww least your having periods ❤️ Hopefully something will come of it for you! I think I’m Guna mention about upping the dosage and see if that helps being mine back it’s been 5 months no periods for me! Ivf messed my cycles up I was 35 days before ivf and now every 6 months 🤬 just so frustrating but wish you all the luck in the world on your ttc journey! X
