Metformin update

Well, I wasn’t able to confirm ovulation my last cycle although I did get lots of high fertility results on the clear blue opk... and i got my period yesterday. Does make you feel crappy but obviously it’s not going to be easy guess I will just keep trying. I just purchased some ovulation sticks much cheaper ones this time, the easy home ones which I’m sure will be better to use since I get 50 tests which is plenty to test with. I also feel like i got a better handle on taking my bbt. This will be my last attempt ttc on just metformin, I’m meeting with the fertility specialist November 20 so if I’m not successful this cycle she said I’d try letrozole next. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens. Just wanted to add, you really can’t help get disappointed when you see af sigh😔 , I mean I’m sure it will happen but it can just be so stressful. I decided to take a day off work just to clear my mind and my emotions have just been all over the place. I try to remember that I know other women are going through worse situations. Feels good to just share, not sure who’ll be reading this but thanks for listening.

I completely understand the stress of the TTC process, but as someone who also struggled with PCOS I highly recommend Ovusense and the Keto diet.

I really do believe the 2 together is what helped me to fall pregnant - 17weeks today :)

Ovusense shows exactly when/if you are ovulating - and where I was told by doctors that I wasn't ovulating, Ovusense showed that I was actually ovulating EVERY CYCLE but just later in the cycle so I always missed it. The Keto diet helped me to regulate my cycles naturally and before I knew it I was ovulating bang on CD14/15.

I hope this helps your journey!

Good luck :) x

Hi AK89, I have had exactly the same positive experience with using a cycle tracker app, taking my BBT every morning and switching to a high fat low carbohydrate diet. I am 34 weeks and conceived naturally :). I'm desperate to help more and more women switch their diets and understand their cycles to feel more in control of the TTC process. I also ovulate really late in my cycle and conceived on day 31 of a 45 day cycle! I know that by understanding my fertile signs it helped me to stay patient and never gave up. All the best for your pregnancy x

Hi there!

I’m going through all this process of trying to regulate my cycles naturally (not ttc) and studying a lot, know the feeling! Something that may be basic for many of you here but was new for me and actually shocked me is the impact of plastic recipients and bottles that contain BPA . Everyone should stop using them but specially us! Search about it!

Cheers! XX

I was shocked by this too - cant believe how much in our lives has an impact on our hormones. Although, it's hard to make all the necessary changes in our lives I definitely think the reduced plastic use and dietary changes (to balance hormones) helped me and my fertility journey x
