How to get periods back? Newbie!

Hello, I am new here after being diagnosed a month ago. Long story short, I have endo, had a lap and some treatment last summer, then got breakthrough bleeding in December so decided (with my GP) to stop my pill (Yasmin), await a withdrawal and a 'normal' period, then go back on it as it works well for my endo and I get on well with it. I had a 2 day withdrawal bleed in early Jan, then nothing since! I had blood tests, which were fine, then scans, which showed multi-follicular ovaries (the 'cysts', they said) and pelvic fluid, as well as an enlarged right ovary (10cm). That was back in June, I am now waiting to go back to my endo specialist as they were worried re the fluid, and she also deals with PCOS.

In the mean time, is there anything I can do re periods? I am not TTC, but am only in my 20s so feel that it isn't good for my body to not be doing anything at all! I am healthy weight (bit thin if anything), eat a very healthy, balanced diet and exercise 5/6 times a week. My only external symptoms of PCOS are being a bit on the hairy side, and I do get terrible acne breakouts which no skincare can control.

any advice greatly appreciated, my GP has offered therapy etc because the combo of endo and PCOS can be troubling for those wanting children, but fortunately I am not broody. I just want to know how to get my period back/ensure I am as healthy as can be!

Myo inositol helped me loads. It's a supplement. Take 2000mg a day! I went 17 weeks with nothing after my withdrawal bleed from desogestrol. It helps with insulin resistance which can be the cause of pcos and no periods might be worth a try

Thanks, I’ll give this a try! How would I know if insulin resistance is the cause for me? Feels very odd having not had a period for 9/10 months!

Google the symptoms I cant remember them sorry. I had a slightly high BMI and the myoinositol helped me lose weight

I love yasmin, can you go back on that ? Ive been on the combined pill for 30 years and am now 50 and have to come off it which I am dreading.

They should force a period every 3 months or so to keep your uterus healthy (provera is often used for this)

I can, but they want me to have a period first hence why I’m still waiting. Perhaps the specialist will offer me that? I love Yasmin too! Thanks :)

They can force one so not sure why they are waiting and actually you can start it without having a period as well. You do need to have that period if the last one was January.
