Hey I have Endometriosis & PCOS. I have had my Lap a week and a half ago. I get loads of symptoms and trying to keep them under control and manage my health the best I can.

I got diagnosed with PCOS a few years back but didn’t really revive any info.

I really am unsure of what symptoms are from the Endo and what from the PCOS. Would anyone be happy to share their symptoms from PCOS. Does anyone have any advice regarding PCOS.

Thanks.

Hey im 35 was diagnosed with pcos when i was 14 went thru various pills/alternative methods to help.

If your trying to conecive theres a powder called inifolic thats really good can help regulate your period. If you trouble with your skin i used environ acumax pills. Exercise is meant to help with pcos. Unfortunately there is no cure for pcos so its really just about managing whatever side effects are getting you down/affecting you the most. Xx

Okay brilliant thank you for sharing. I will look into the inifolic & acumax pills. I don’t suppose you have really bad night sweats with it do u? Xx

Yeah i did i dont have reg periods so i put it down to that. When i wasnt trying to conceive i had the minera coil which has hormones in it. It did help. I dont have that jst now as i have one baby and if i plan another in next few yrs no point going on the coil...i weirdly miss it as it def levelled me out a bit so if babies are a current plan minera coil is an option....i dont have an answer to the night sweats i think its basically the hormone imbalance i do think it was better on coil. Docs dont really seem too informed about pcos even all these yrs later.

There is a thing about making sure u have 3 periods a yr. So if u havent had one in a long time u cud inform ur doc and ask for a northisterine prescription which forces a periods might give ur hormones a blow out and mge the sweats.

Also depending on ur issues id ask for a gyno referral...docs should really prescribe things to help manage side effects not jst tell u whats wrong and send u on ur way (sorry when i start this subject i can go on a bit) x

Brilliant thank you, Iv been to my gynaecologist but my Endometrosis has been really bad flare up so spent the past couple of months focusing on managing and treating that. This is why I’m unsure what’s syringa are from what. I know what u mean about being diagnosed and then the doctors sending you on your way though. Yeh my doctor doesn’t seam to know about the night sweats and running more blood tests tomorrow. Thank you for the information I will ask about northisterine when I need it because I genuinely don’t think I would have 3 periods a year with out the pill. (I have to be on the pill for the Endometriosis atm) thank you really great advice and tips x

With my pcos I have irregular and heavy periods, had massive acne (got better with time but was difficult in my 20s after I came off the pill) and have loads of cysts in the ovary. From time to time there is a bit hair where I don't expect it to be and weight keeps creeping up when I don't keep it in check. My worst one at the moment is that I do not ovulate regularily which means baby making is not so easy. To manage my symptoms I do a low carb/paleo diet which helps so much with the regulation of the cycle and weight. I try to do sports and really also manage my weight as the symptoms get less when I am on the lighter side. Other than that I found that vitamin supplements help, especially myova. Yeah and the usual stuff like no cream/oil in anything that goes in my face as it will cause outbreaks. Serums are great and oil free moisturizers. If you are not having problems with the pill that is a good way to manage the systems. Will take a while to get semi regular after you stop though (important for baby plans) and my body recapitulated the acne thing for quite a few years after stopping as mentioned.
