Acne Remedies

Unfortunately I have the infertility and acne symptoms with my PCOS. My skin is worse that it has ever been - can anyone recommend anything for acne that's safe when trying to conceive?

I was going to suggest the combined contraceptive as that can help but as you are TTC then it all gets a bit more tricky. I would ask to be referred to a dermatologist as they should know what is ok when TTC / pregnant as some things that ladies are on may not be suitable for pregnancy.

That's what I'm thinking but was hoping whilst waiting for referral and appointment that something wonderful is out there!

.....today, I'm off to MAC and hope they have a concealer/foundation that sorts me 😊

Good luck, I know lots of places now do really good foundation. Luckily I have never overly suffered from acne (just a beard and ingrowing hairs !!)

Hi KRM29 !

I also have the acne symptom and it's a bloody nightmare ! To keep it at bay I use a No7 micellar cleansing water & No7 day cream, it's an absolute god send! It is a bit expensive, but it totally works. If I get a bad patch of skin, I sometimes use the Grease Lightning spot cleanser from LUSH... again, it's a bit expensive but does the trick to nip any breakouts in the bud!

Hi I'm not sure if it'll will interfere with you trying to conceive but I've been on some antibiotics called Lymecycline for a few months now and my skin has cleared up completely..I get the odd spot when it's time of the month but I cannot complain from what it was. Find out if those will be good for you! x
