I have been diagnosed with PCOS last year after noticing abnormal hair on my body and face (due to high male hormones ) and some acne.

Now considering electrolysis which is a permanent hair removal treatment.

Lazer treatment - not IPL- is the way to go. I think it's called he Alexander Diode lazer or something similar. Burns units use them. I had my face and chin done and only a few tiny strands grow now on my face and white hairs on my chin and I only pluck every few weeks. Cost a lot but it was permanent.

Initially I would do laser and not ipl as it gets results quicker but as you say not permanent, I haven't been lasered for about 3 years and need a top up as a few goaty hairs have appeared, I have one laser session still but once that has been used I will move to electrolysis as it is the only permanent way but slow process. So I would do laser first followed by electrolysis.
