Abnormal brown bleeding but on the pill and metformin.

I have been on metformin for 6 months now and have been on cerelle pill for years. I missed my metformin for 5 days due to not picking up prescription...started the metformin again on Thursday last week, then on Sunday afternoon I had an outburst of very dark blood in my knickers and it has carried on ever since, been 4 days now. I have been to my GP and screened for infection and refererrd for Ultrasound, also had preg test which was negative. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever had this issue before? Appreciate your thoughts! Thanks ladies x

Hi,not whilst on medication but this is whats happening to me now!i had my son sept 2015,had regular periods(which i never have) til jan 2017 and now i have sporadic brow blood,discharge,period like feelings.ive had swabs and an ultrasound,all they could see was my polycystic ovaries.it might bd as you missed a few days of metformin its upset the balance.ive done alot of reading up since i started with this and i think i might have low progesterone.im going 2 ask for a blood test 2 check my hormone levels.if your scan is fine maybe ask for them to check your levels.is your pill mini or combined?xx
