I am not on
ventolin
, as it causes awful palpitations. I am now in symbicort turbohaler and have been for years.I am lucky as I am very well controlled, thankfully with symbicort and montelucust.

Ventolin Accuhaler
. 😊 Is there anyone who is prescribed a
Ventolin
Accuhaler by their GP please(NHS)? I am trying to move away from Salamol as a reliever and was really hoping to try a dpi inhaler instead. I suggested the Accuhaler to my GP but apparently it is not available anymore!?

Re ventolin
Hi Ollie 1976I can't really help as I can't use
ventolin
as I get horrendous palpitations from it. I have an inhaler called symbicort, it is a dry powder inhaler & is a combined preventer and emergency treatment like
ventolin
. Sorry I can't help cheers Irene.

Salmon v Ventolin
For a long time I insisted there is such an obvious difference and I must have
Ventolin
. As soon as I run out I will inform them only
Ventolin
. Don't care what they think but I have a history with the hospital.

5mg ventolin nebules
Sadly GSK have ceased to manufacture the 5mg
ventolin
nebules. Are there any other severe brittle and unstable asthmatics out there that feel their asthma is no longer under control.

ventolin cut backs
I was very shocked to hear doctors are restricting
ventolin
( salbutamol) to some patients, at the end of the day if you have an attack
ventolin
can save people, it’s easy to say you should be ok having your preventative meds so you wont need much reliever but that wont keep you alive when you need

Prednisolone.. ventolin with symbicort.
My condition has worsen over the last few years and I for some time been taking
Ventolin
10 or so minutes before taking Symbicort, l believe it helps open the lungs so the Symbiort works better.

Re ventolin
I can't use
ventolin
as it causes palpitations, to feel heart is going to fast. If they say chest is clear listening to her chest. Ask for a chest xray to find out what is going on. Good luck.

Shaky and dizzy 24 hours after Ventolin?
I had a bit of a flareup yesterday morning - nothing serious and eased after 2 puffs of
Ventolin
. I usually feel a bit tired and wobbly after, so took it easy the rest of the day.

Misleading Information
Bit disillusioned with some content Just read a contributor asserting that
Ventolin
is a steroid. It isn't. Steroid Inhalers are Corticosteroids I would counsel that folk check facts before offering guidance. Noted a coue of misguided contributors already so I will just leave

No More Ventolin?
Just put my repeat prescription in to be told
Ventolin
can't be issued because I already have a regular inhaler, the RelvarEllipta. I have talked myself hoarse explaining that the Relvar is a MAINTENANCE inhaler and the
Ventolin
is a RELIEVER inhaler without getting anywhere.

Salamol Easi Breathe
Anyway I've been on
Ventolin
for decades (I'm 72 soon) It is the same ingredient has
Ventolin
but works so very much better as it forces me to sit up and inhale deeply. I feel so much better. I'm asking for a repeat!

Ventolin now being replaced
My asthma nurse has replaced my usual
Ventolin
(full-size) prescription with the new CFC free smaller salbutamol inhaler. Maybe it’s me, but it certainly doesn’t feel as effective and it may be coincidence but my voice is getting more and more croaky. Anyone else experiencing the same?
