Well let's see if this tastes any better. It's a recipe I've used before and the main ingredient is Buckwheat seeds. I've now added sun dried tomatoes and mixed Italian Herbs.
I've just tasted it and its better than the original recipe with the addition of the sun dried tomatoes and herbs so I won't be throwing this one away.
Yes actually I could say the texture was a bit like polystyrene but even with added flavour I still don't like it.
I've made sourdough bread many times and of course it doesn't contain yeast, only the airborne good bacteria. I got the recipe from the IBS Network to which I'm a member. They say as it's an ancient grain people with a possible gluten sensitivity can tolerate it.
I'll post a photo when it's made, got to get a starter going first.😉
Thank you Debs. Unfortunately I'm not keen on it even with herbs and sun dried tomatoes the Buckwheat overrides everything else. I'll definitely be trying the Spelt Sourdough that the IBS Network recommend.
Well it's definitely going to be a Spelt loaf now, not Buckwheat. The recipe online gave it 5 stars, just goes to show we all have different tastebuds.🤔
Yes very good, you are so right. I'm going to have to find someone to donate my Buckwheat to.
Oh yes, there's excellent choice out there now. I went to Tesco today and bought a Vegan Wenslydale style cheese with cranberries, can't wait to try it😋
