We have recently moved and there is a big farm shop near us and I knew they didn’t do organic so I emailed them and said I had recently moved to a new house nearby and were their fruit and vegetables organic or do they spray them with chemicals. Probably a bit too direct and they gave this direct answer. No hellos or goodbyes....
“We are not organic and use a variety of growing methods, so our produce and the local produce we buy in are grown, some without insecticide and some with minimal use and some conventionally. Senior shop staff can usually help when you visit or else email us for specific information”.
Maybe I will call in and ask them for specific information in person as it all looks bright and shiny and none of it is organic as I’ve asked in the past.
Also I asked in the coffee shop if they had any vegan cakes and the girl who makes the cakes said no but it was a shame as she is vegan herself! She said if I gave a weeks notice she would make one which was kind but I’m a bit more spontaneous than that! 🙂
