I was picking up my prescriptions at the Pharmacy the other day and the Pharmacist said “hey Nick have you had your booster” to which I replied “I had one in April. She said I was entitled to another and to check the NHS website to book an appointment. I did and got an appointment very easily. Has anyone had 6 jabs.
I heard on the news about the new dual booster for over 50s and vulnerable people, and to get it as soon as called. So I'm hoping to get that one when available. I had my 5th one on 23rd June btw.
Hi May7 hope all is well. Yes I think the ‘Super’ Booster (sounds like an ABBA tribute single) will come for me later in the year, this one on Thursday I guess is going to be the standard Moderna. It’s good timing for me because I am midway through my Rituximab infusions. Nick
Yes that is good timing, something you always have to think about. Had to laugh about the Super Booster song! As for me, I'm feeling bit better now that it's cooler. Since vasculitis damaged my lungs my body always seems to seize up when temps over 30°, and can only stagger along a few yards, leaning on my stick.
Same here with the heat, nighttime was murder even up here in the Dales, it was covers off, fan on and birthday suit. I just stay in the shade during the day. Take care. Nick.
I hope the jab appointment goes well, but as far as I knew jab booking for the Autumn 2022 Covid boosters hasn't opened in England yet. It is a different booster from the Winter 2021/2 booster, and the Spring 2022 booster.
Here in Scotland severely immunosuppressed people are going to be contacted by letter fairly soon. Vaccinations for the Autumn 2022 boosters start on 6th September here in Scotland, starting with health workers, then prioritised by need after that. Over 50s (I'll be 50 very soon but not quite yet!) without immunosuppression will be invited to be booked in due course. But severely immunosuppressed and immunosuppressed people will get letters. Here in Scotland. I am keeping an eye on our Scottish Covid appointments site. Typically my appointment shows up there before I get the blue letter in the post.
P.S. I've had 5 jabs so far: first 2 primary, then a bonus 3rd primary cos I'm severely immunosuppressed. Then my Winter 2021/2 booster. Then my Spring 2022 booster. I am due my Autumn 2022 booster (i.e. my 3rd booster and my 6th Covid jab) soon, but will be sent my appointment for that. Sadly my cerebral vasculitis flares severely after every single Covid vaccine, with dire increased neurological symptoms for 3 months every time, starting a week after each Covid vaccine. But hey, protection 
I've had 5 and expect to be called in September when the new vaccination programme begins.
Cool! It looks I got an extra one in somewhere. I had my first Jab February 2021. So obviously about every 3-4 months on average. I did an antibody test as part of a trial and although faint I was told I had the secondary antibody which is designed to fight Covid rather than keep it at bay and that’s what the vaccine does so il just keep going.
6th ...wow. Ive only just had my 5th ..... I did read something I think re another booster come Autumn though ..

my immunology consultant’s spring report after our review tele appt confirmed I meet official criteria to be get fast tracked to antiviral & given m6 6th COVID Vacc late summer/autumn. Recently my GP confirmed that yes my surgery is aware I still qualify as severely immunocompromised so am officially due this 6th COVID job & antivirals. My GP told me the surgery will organise my antivirals when I test pos, & I’ll have an email + letter direct from the NHS when it’s time to book my 6th Vacc- had my 5th on 26 April 2022 so guess I’ll be called up for my 6th in Sept🤷🏼♀️..I’m 68, in England & have vasculitis secondary to SLE + Antibody Deficiency Disease etc etc
I’m CEV and I’ve had 5 jabs so far - the last one in May. After seeing your post, I went onto the NHS site and managed to book myself in for my 6th covid jab next week.

Hi Barnclown that’s really good, get it if you can that’s my way of thinking. A word to all about Antivirals. As you know I caught Covid in June (21st) rushed back from holiday as I was told I would get “Treatment” I thought I was getting Anti Virals but when I got to the hospital I was ready to go and I casually asked what antiviral was I was having. I was told this isn’t an Antiviral you get those if you are more advanced with Covid or you are being treated in hospital and they are mostly taken orally. This was an infusion of Sotrovimab which is a Monoclonal Antibody that stops Covid getting into the Lungs. Just as effective by the way. So you live and learn, to be honest I wasn’t bothered at the time providing it helped. Nick.
Yes…exactly🤷🏼♀️…I need to know about experiences like yours, Nick, thanks… the good folk on my U.K. PID forum (Primary Immunodeficiency Disease) are telling us about similar experiences…🤔 ‘can of 🪱s’ comes to mind ….but I remind myself that virtually all the combined therapy long term treatment plans I’m on are, basically, still experimental because they are tertiary & cutting edge…& so far haven’t had lasting neg side effects, instead they all just go on helping…🤞Coco

No..I had my 5th in the past month but pharmacy did say a 6th by end of the year
Wow. Here in the U.S. I've reached my limit at 4. Hard to believe I live in a country that has no precautions in place and accepts 100,000+ daily covid cases, and averages 450 covid deaths daily. Daily!
Our vaccination rates are unimpressive, however, with only 50% of population vaccinated with 3 jabs.

Hi Michichgo. Probably because your country has authorised and using Evusheild. Our people won’t. I am guessing that your in the Northern States and I understand take up of the vaccine is much higher up there. We don’t have any restrictions but It’s a lot more even over in the UK, some areas have an 80% vaccination rate but where I live in North Yorkshire it’s something like 94% fully vaccinated so I suppose it’s swings and roundabouts when you look at the big picture. Anyway Buddy take care and stay safe.
