Rituximab and Abdominal Pain

Currently 3 months into my first Rituximab treatment and without being too paranoiac I am getting some abdominal aches, back, shoulders but more persistently just below my ribs right hand side. Automatically I thought liver issues and frightened myself to death. Late last year and early this year I had CT scans, Ultrasound, a Colonoscopy due to tummy pain (diagnosed as side effect of Azathioprine and slight Diverticulitis) the CT and Ultrasound revealed nothing apart from slightly fatty liver diagnosed as long term use of steroids. My blood tests up and including early Feb this year show normal liver function so why this pain? It’s not severe it’s just there. I have checked the symptoms for liver trouble and apart from the abdominal pain have none. Could it be Rituximab? Could it be the ANCA. Anyone else had this.

Rituximab has a range of side effects, abdominal pain being one. Looks like you have covered everything with your scans. Are you on prednisolone as well?

See how it goes. My experience is that the side effects come and go depending on where you are in the cycle.

Yes Pred as well but only 7.5mg per day. It feels like a stitch is the best way to describe it.
