Yes same here. Sometimes in a conversation I suddenly can’t remember the names of everyday things! So frustrating! Also on 5mg pred and 150 mg Azathioprine

Hi nice to talk to you! How long have you been on 5mg pred and Aza? I am due to see nephrologist in a couple of weeks and I think they will reduce pred but increase Aza. Don’t really want anything increased. I have MPO/Anca Vasculitis.

Have been on both for about 18 months now. Also have peripheral neuropathy in both legs from the knees down so prone to falling. Had 2 DVT’s in 10 months so on rivaroxaban now for life. Hope they sort you out soon, keep us posted

I will thank you. Hope you are managing ok. It’s such a horrible disease to have as it’s so complex.

Yes, in the first few months after my diagnosis - the weeks on 60 mg of steroid a day were the worst. In fact I remember very little of the first year and blame the mix of steroids and methotrexate for that.

But you will find that it gets much better as the steroids go down. I’m on 5mg a day now, and I think that I'm almost back to normal. Probably better if you don’t ask my nearest and dearest though!

Yes...such a horrible feeling. Three days after I started on Prednisone it was gone. Every once in a while I will have a dizzy spell. I try to keep my brain as active as possible. Good luck

I have had a lot of problems with brain fog and forgetfulness. I find caffeine works, but check with your doctor first of course. In Australia we have brand names such as ‘No-Doze’ which is equivalent to a cup of coffee I believe. The pharmacist suggested it and my neurologist had no problems- it works wonders. As I said please check with your doctor first - we are all different. Cheers Lesley

Yes, I too have had brain fog. My brain MRI showed some things that the young Radiologist noted and that worried me until my Neurologist, who is my age, said perfectly normal brain for my age. Ha Ha. But he couldn't explain my forgetfulness, so now you are helping me see it may have to do with the disease or the Prednisone, as now that I am on a much reduced dose I am not forgetting as often.
