Diagnosed with CSS in Dec2003.
I've been fine on 5mg pred and 100mg Azathioprine for about a year. Been feeling really unwell over Christmas with 'the cough' which is an early sign of a flare for me. Saw GP yesterday. Bloods came back showing CRP of 90 and ESR of 137. He has got me an emergency appointment with rheumatologist this morning.
Hoping for some relief as I haven't felt this unwell for a long time. Just wanted to flag up how good my GP is.
Really impressed with that- I hope your appointment went well. There are some great GP' s out there.
Looks like your bloods show "something" is happening and reflects how unwell you feel.
that's really good work by your GP laidbackreader. Hope you get better soon and they can sort you out with maybe increase in steroids and antibiotics for a short time. There are so many nasty chest infections going round we churgies have tobe careful.
Saw rheumatologist yesterday am. X-Ray shows a patch at bottom of my right lung. Continuing with high-dose antibiotics and he wants to see me again next Fri.
He gave me his secretary's phone no and told me to ring if I don't improve before then as he's not completely sure it's infection.
Still feeling rubbish but also feeling grateful for our wonderful NHS.

We have had further results back today. Can anyone give me some understanding of them.
