Arnica cream and Arnica tablets - break down the bruising fast.

However before using check with your pharmacist for compatibility.

Dear Ifu2,

As has been said above, that Is Impressive! How did you get it? Don't tell me, ran into a door, missed your 'footing' or just 'plain' lost your balance. I haven't got one that 'bad' ('good'), at the moment anyway. Seriously though, I always put the 'bashed' area under/into cold water, as quickly as possible. Not much help when the car door closes on your hand, as it did when we were taking friends out recently. (I was lucky not to have broken my hand, in all seriousness-very lucky indeed!)

Anyway I can't add much more, to what has already been said, except I hope that you feel better soon.

Kindest wishes AndrewT

Thank you AndrewT,

The circumstances were very odd.... I had chemo and it left me with a cough; antibiotics cleared it up but it came back and during one huge cough I tore a muscle in my back (horrendous pain, but sort lived), however the pain returned everytime I coughed. Fast forward two days in the GP surgery I coughed badly again and my lower right rib vibrated and the pain was off the register. Told GP and told to increase painkillers. Fast forward two more days at the rheumatology clinic waiting for blood tests I coughed badly again.... the pain was stratospheric but only lasted 15 seconds or so. That evening I noticed the bruise. GP surgery again and sent to hospital. In 2 days but all was clear. The last cough ruptured a blood vessel but it has stopped bleeding now. The pain is still there when coughing but beginning to ease a bit so I can cut down on the painkillers.

Talking about car door injuries, I was getting out off my car a long time ago.... I had a mini, probably in the eighties. I pushed the door open and began to get out; the door didn't catch and came back on me and the top lip of it hit me on the edge of the ear.... this pushed my head onto the roof gutter and that hit the other ear in the same place. Talk about pain!!!! Even now I always wait for the door to catch now or hold on to it.... a lesson well learned.

Anyway thanks for your post... another step in the big adventure.
