painful ribs and back

over the last couple of days i feel as ive been beaten my ribs and back hurt so much feels like there broken hurts when i move.i have been weaaned of all meds as they say im in remision.has anyone else felt this before.also feel as im ceasing up again and every day is such a effort.

Hi Tracey, maybe you're not quite in remission yet. A few years ago, I experienced agonising pain in my ribcage which made it very difficult to breathe. A late night trip to A&E in an ambulance, a shot of pred & an overnight stay in hospital & I was fit as a fiddle. We had a change of med & it never came back. I think some doctors are a bit too keen to get you off the meds before your body is ready to go it alone. What were you taking before you were weaned off? John

hi john thanks for the reply i was on 5 mg pred and mycrophenalate also had infusion of ritux back in jan im going to see my gp tomorrow

Hi Tracey, just a thought but get your GP to check about your bones. Preds regardless of the dose can effect them, it seems especially in women. Good luck.

I actually had this quite recently - ribs, bones in General were very sore. Turned out it was a bulging disc in my neck and nothing to do with my WG

thanks for your replies seen gp today was told to tell my rheumtologist at end of the month when i see him waste of time
