A SCOTTISH country dance evening at Uplyme Village Hall raised £425 for the charity Vasculitis UK.

The evening was supported by dancers from all the nearby Scottish country dance clubs with MC Andrew White, from Chard. There was a small raffle with prizes donated by local shops and businesses, raising £180 of the total.

One of the raffle winners was the Reverend John Harrisson, former vicar at St Michael’s Parish Church, who had to leave the position and take early retirement after becoming seriously ill with Wegeners Granulomatosis, (GPA) one of the Vasculitis diseases.
